Happened to me this morning. My entire SYNC interface froze up and would not respond. Even shutting off the truck and restarting did not help.
The only way to get it working again is to 'reboot' it or soft reset it. (don't do a master reset or it will erase all your presets / phones / contacts, etc.)
Press the Volume / Power knob and the 'next track' button at the same time for 5 seconds. The SYNC unit will power down and restart. That's it!
